Financial coaching

Money is not a
character test.

It’s a craft. And a craft can be learned — at any age, from any starting point.

Why I offer this

I know both sides of money.

Before my work as a coach I advised private clients at a large bank. I saw the questions people bring through the door — and how often they leave feeling they hadn’t understood something they had every right to understand.

Alongside that, I’ve spent more than ten years helping build several real-estate companies. So I know not only how to talk about wealth, but what it feels like to build it: the doubt at the start, the long stretches with nothing visible to show, the decisions you make before you’re sure.

One thing I keep coming back to: plenty of people are clever, work hard and earn well — and still don’t know where their money actually goes. Not out of carelessness, but because nobody ever showed them they were allowed to look.

Three levels

We start where you are.

There’s no minimum balance you have to reach before you’re allowed to come. Some start with a bank statement they haven’t looked at for months. Others have had a portfolio for years and finally want to understand it rather than merely own it.

Level 1

Getting an overview

For anyone who finds money a vague source of unease. We look at it together: what comes in, what goes out, what stays. We build a cushion that lets you sleep at night, and clear up what has piled up. At the end you know your numbers — and that alone changes a surprising amount.

Level 2

First steps

For anyone who wants to start and doesn’t know where. We go through the basics: how does saving work once it’s more than a bank account? What do interest, time and risk actually mean? You build a structure that fits your life — and learn enough to decide for yourself instead of having to take someone’s word for it.

Level 3

Going further

For anyone who has already built something. We put in order what has grown, check whether it still matches your goals, and look at the bigger picture: retirement, children, working for yourself, property. Not in order to have more — but to know what it’s for.

Important

What I explicitly don’t do.

I’m not an investment adviser and not a broker. I recommend no products, no funds, no insurance and no individual securities. I sell nothing and take commission from no one — which is why I can tell you openly when something doesn’t suit you.

Nor do I give tax or legal advice. If that’s where your question belongs, I’ll say so and, where I can, point you to someone.

What I do: I make sure you understand what you’re doing. That you know your numbers, can weigh up your options and stay with it, even when it gets tedious. The decisions are yours.

The process

How it works.

Step 1

First conversation

Thirty minutes, free of charge. You tell me where you stand. I tell you which level suits you — and whether I’m the right person for you.

Step 2

Taking stock

A thorough session in which we put everything on the table. Afterwards you know where you stand — often for the first time in a long while.

Step 3

Putting it into practice

We work in stages, with concrete steps between appointments. How many there’ll be depends on what you have in mind.
